Use your ruler to measure the width of that rectangle and figure out how wide your squares can be so that they fit evenly next to each other, with a small space between them.Ĭut out as many as you need to cover the rectangle, except one corner. I think it’s pretty obvious that they’d be in there, so I didn’t mind not using the plastic, but it’s up to you!ġ. Cut out a rectangle from your dark brown felt. This does mean that, if your bag gets lost, someone will hopefully check inside the slip for your contact information. I’ve never felt comfortable using luggage tags with clear windows as anyone could glance at them and memorise your name, number or address, so I made my slips with felt. However, if you choose to make your slips from plastic ( see note two), I would recommend you sew them on instead, to minimise the risk of melting the plastic. As you will be able to tell from the photos, I sewed the slip onto the bag of my luggage tags, but you could use hot glue instead if you wish. ♡ Sewing needle + dark brown, light brown, and pink thread ( OR hot glue gun¹) ♡ Dark brown, light brown, pink, and white felt I’ve been playing around with chocolate and testing out a new product for an upcoming post, as well as working on a DIY storage project and teaching myself some new tricks on my camera that I think will really enhance my photos – as long as I keep practising □Īnyway, enough talking, let’s get onto the project! Whilst it hasn’t been seizure-free, unfortunately, they HAVE been a lot less often – meaning that I finally managed to get some creating done! So far, May has been a pretty good month. It’s honestly terrifying – but I digress. Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s the start of yet another week, let alone the fact that we’re now in the FIFTH month of the year.
